President Jokowi and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung in the Nusantara Capital area, Monday (14/03/2022).

NUSANTARA, THENUSANTARAPOST.COM- From the Kilometer Zero Point Area for the Capital of the Nusantara (IKN), Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) together with Mrs. Iriana Jokowi headed for a place to spend the night in the IKN area, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, Monday (14/03/2022).

The location where the President and Mrs. Iriana will spend the night is in the form of a campsite which is about 2.7 kilometers from the zero point. In the camp area there are also tents for ministers and entourage who also spend the night.

Arriving at the location, the President was seen chatting with Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir, Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, and Deputy Head of IKN Authority Dhony Rahajoe.

Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) Heru Budi Hartono in his press statement in Balikpapan, Sunday (13/03/2022) said that his party had prepared the needs of the President’s stay in a simple manner, without compromising the security aspect.

“When we stayed at IKN, of course, it was what it was. Mr. President, we have prepared a simple tent and so on, of course, it will not reduce his security,” said Kasetpres.

Meanwhile, the Commander of Paspampres Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo explained that apart from physical security, his party has also taken other prevention efforts from wild animals and diseases, especially malaria.

“It’s been fogging that is there. Then also for other security, namely around the tents, especially around VVIP, we have also distributed salt and so on to anticipate reptiles and that too we have prepared anti-snake venom which will also be useful. But hopefully it won’t be used and we’re all safe,” said the Paspampres commander (Wan)
