Attending the APEC Summit, President Jokowi Flies to Thailand

BALI, THE NUSANTARA POST- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo left for Bangkok, Thailand, via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Badung Regency, Bali Province, on Thursday (17/11/2022). The President wants to attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in 2022.

“Today, I and the First Lady and a limited delegation will leave for Bangkok, Thailand. I will attend the series of APEC Summit meetings until Friday, November 18, 2022,” the President said in his statement before taking off.

The APEC Summit is the last series of summits after ASEAN in Cambodia and the G20 in Bali, Indonesia. The President said that Indonesia’s main focus at the APEC Summit was to promote an inclusive and sustainable economic recovery.

“In principle, leave no one behind. Digital transformation, green economy, and downstream are Indonesia’s priorities at this year’s APEC,” he explained.

According to the Head of State, APEC represents nearly 3 billion of the world’s population and 60 percent of the world’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP/GDP). “APEC must continue to be the engine of economic growth in Asia Pacific,” he added.

The President and Ibu Iriana will soon return to Indonesia after the APEC Summit concludes on Friday, 18 November 2022.

“I will return to Indonesia, God willing, the evening of November 18,” he said.

Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung accompanied President Jokowi and Ibu Iriana on the flight to Thailand.

Appearing to see off the President’s departure included Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces General Andika Perkasa, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Head of the State Intelligence Agency Budi Gunawan, Governor of Bali I Wayan Koster (Wan)..

Hadiri KTT APEC, Presiden Jokowi Terbang Ke Thailand

BALI, THE NUSANTARA POST- Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) dan Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo bertolak menuju Bangkok, Thailand, melalui Bandara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Kabupaten Badung, Provinsi Bali, pada Kamis (17/11/2022). Presiden hendak menghadiri Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) Kerja Sama Ekonomi Asia Pasifik (APEC) tahun 2022.

“Hari ini, saya dengan Ibu Negara dan delegasi terbatas akan berangkat menuju Bangkok, Thailand. Saya akan menghadiri rangkaian pertemuan KTT APEC hingga besok Jumat tanggal 18 November 2022,” ujar Presiden dalam keterangannya sebelum lepas landas.

KTT APEC merupakan rangkaian terakhir KTT setelah ASEAN di Kamboja dan G20 di Bali, Indonesia. Presiden menyampaikan, fokus utama Indonesia dalam KTT APEC adalah mendorong pemulihan ekonomi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

“Prinsipnya, leave no one behind. Transformasi digital, ekonomi hijau, dan hilirisasi menjadi prioritas Indonesia di APEC tahun ini,” jelasnya.

Menurut Kepala Negara, APEC mewakili hampir 3 miliar penduduk dunia dan 60 persen Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB/GDP) dunia. “APEC harus terus menjadi mesin pertumbuhan ekonomi di Asia Pasifik,” imbuhnya.

Presiden dan Ibu Iriana akan segera kembali ke Tanah Air setelah KTT APEC selesai pada Jumat, 18 November 2022.

“Saya akan kembali ke Indonesia, insyaallah, tanggal 18 November malam,” tandasnya.

Sekretaris Kabinet Pramono Anung turut mendampingi Presiden Jokowi dan Ibu Iriana dalam penerbangan menuju Thailand.

Tampak melepas keberangkatan Presiden antara lain Menteri Sekretaris Negara Pratikno, Menteri Investasi/Kepala BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, Panglima TNI Jenderal Andika Perkasa, Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Kepala Badan Intelijen Negara Budi Gunawan, Gubernur Bali I Wayan Koster (Wan)
