JAKARTA, THE NUSANTARA POST – The support of former Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) for presidential candidate Anies Baswedan and vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) is warmly welcomed by supporters of AMIN, including the National Secretariat Pro Anies Volunteer Community.
This is especially significant due to JK’s influential support, seen as a step towards winning presidential candidate Anies Baswedan and vice presidential candidate Muhaimin Iskandar in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
“Of course, we are very pleased; support from various parties continues to flow to the AMIN pair. This time it comes from former Vice President Jusuf Kalla, which will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the path to victory for AMIN,” said Emmanuel Tular, the Secretary-General of the Pro Anies National Secretariat in Jakarta (12/21/2023) when asked for his comments on JK’s support for Anies-Muhaimin.
The former Chairman of the Central Management Board of PMKRI expressed that JK’s support for the AMIN pair is positive news amidst the struggles of volunteers, the Coalition for Change and Unity, and AMIN sympathizers who tirelessly work towards the victory of the AMIN pair in the 2024 Presidential Election.
JK’s personality is very complex, not only as a politician, activist, former Vice President of RI for two terms, businessman, peacemaker, Chairman of the Indonesian Mosque Council, to leading humanitarian organizations in Indonesia and even globally.
“JK’s experiences, including when he successfully served as vice president for two terms with different presidents, will be valuable experience for Anies, who is already considered a political cadre of Mr. JK,” he said.
Furthermore, Emmanuel Tular, who is also a Member of the Campaign Material Team of the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar National Winning Team (TIMNAS AMIN), mentioned that JK’s support will have implications for a pool of votes from JK’s supporters to the AMIN camp, especially voters outside the island of Java.
JK’s support can bring significant political resources and infrastructure into the AMIN campaign, including access to voter bases and economic and financial resources to strengthen AMIN’s logistics to win the 2024 Presidential Election.
“We know that JK has a very broad network not only in the political and activist spheres but also in the business community. So, support from a central figure like JK will have positive implications for winning the Anies-Muhaimin pair in the 2024 Presidential Election.”
The politician from the Nasdem Party’s Central Executive Board in the Executive Relations sector hopes that after UAS (Ustadz Abdul Somad), JK, other figures, including business figures, will express their support for the AMIN pair.
“The more figures who rally to the AMIN camp, the better in the struggle to win Anies – Muhaimin. It’s time for us to say ‘Amin’ first,” he concluded (Wan).
