MADINAH, THENUSANTARAPOST.COM – The Saudi Tourism Authority is continuously working to enhance services for Umrah pilgrims and tourists visiting Makkah and Madinah, including through the Nusuk platform. Nusuk has become a comprehensive source of information and a digital service that simplifies the Umrah journey for pilgrims and tourists in these holy cities.

Mr. Mussab Hashem, CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, shared that the Nusuk platform, developed by the Saudi Arabian government, is designed to serve as a central information hub for Muslims planning to visit Makkah Al-Mukarramah for Umrah. Nusuk offers a wide range of integrated features and services, providing essential information for the Umrah journey, from visa acquisition processes to worship guidelines in the Holy Land.

“Nusuk is here to bring convenience and assurance to pilgrims and tourists from various countries,” said Mr. Hashem, speaking at the Nusuk Media Trip workshop attended by journalists from around the world at Mövenpick Hotel, Madinah, on October 24, 2024.

He explained that through Nusuk, visitors can obtain accurate and up-to-date information on visa requirements, whether from Gulf countries or other nations. “This platform ensures that every step of the journey process is easily and safely accessible,” he added.

Mr. Hashem further explained that Nusuk provides detailed information about each stage of the Umrah pilgrimage, available services, and worship guidance based on validated sources from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. Nusuk also offers insights into historical sites in Makkah and Madinah, including information on exhibitions, museums, and activities available to visitors in both holy cities.

In addition, Nusuk opens access to users looking for Umrah packages or tourism programs offered by verified service companies. “This service helps visitors select and purchase Umrah packages that meet their needs conveniently,” he stated.

As part of a long-term vision, Mr. Hashem revealed that Nusuk is currently developing an online marketplace, allowing visitors to purchase Umrah essentials and specialty Saudi Arabian products online. Through this feature, pilgrims can purchase various necessities, both before departure and during their stay in Saudi Arabia, to enrich their spiritual journey in the Holy Land.

“With Nusuk, we aim to provide a deeper, more comfortable experience, rich in history and culture, for every pilgrim visiting Makkah and Madinah. Nusuk is not only an information platform but also a travel companion for every Muslim planning to perform Umrah,” said Mr. Hashem.

This Nusuk platform initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to delivering high-standard services for visitors from around the world, while also leveraging technology to enhance worship and tourism experiences in the country.

The Nusuk platform is now available in ten languages: Arabic, English, Indonesian, Russian, French, Spanish, German, Turkish, Malay, and Urdu. By offering services in multiple languages, Nusuk is expected to provide convenience to its global users, enabling them to plan their pilgrimage more easily and smoothly (Marwan).
