JAKARTA, THENUSANTARAPOST.COM – Living Lab Ventures (LLV) has officially launched InnoLab, a co-innovation program designed to connect Indonesian startups with global intellectual property (IP) holders across five strategic sectors: renewable energy, digital health, next-generation semiconductors, sustainable logistics, and environmental solutions.
Through this partnership, local startups gain access to frontier technologies and can accelerate their go-to-market timelines. The first InnoLab batch will run for six months, supported by LLV’s network of experts, mentors, and commercialization advisors, with a focus on localizing technology to fit Indonesia’s market needs.
“InnoLab is where global deep-tech meets real local execution. We aim to make BSD City a growing hub for applied innovation in Indonesia,” said Bayu Seto, LLV Partner, on Thursday (Aug 14).
The “Real Co-Innovation Delivery” Method
LLV adopts the Real Co-Innovation Delivery approach, which includes field testing areas, expert support, and a flexible collective innovation process. The framework facilitates startup–IP owner matching, structured business matchmaking, milestone-based technical reviews, and market validation through trials, surveys, and user research.
One of InnoLab’s key strengths lies in its integration with BSD City, a 6,000-hectare township with over 500,000 residents. This environment serves as a living laboratory for startups to test, validate, and develop solutions directly within the community—backed by digital infrastructure, technology-enabled services, and smart mobility systems.
As the corporate venture capital arm of Sinar Mas Land, LLV is committed to driving economic growth, accelerating digital transformation, and expanding global reach. Based in BSD City, LLV positions the township as a gateway for collaboration with global companies and as Indonesia’s hub for applied innovation.
