BUMN Karya Ready To Be Involved In The Development Of The New Capital Of The Nusantara

JAKARTA, THE NUSANTARA POST- A number of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Karya stated that they were ready to be involved in the construction of the new capital city (IKN) of the Nusantara in East Kalimantan.

The BUMN Karya that stated they were ready, if assigned by the government to be involved in the construction of the IKN mega project, included PT Waskita Karya (Persero), PT Wijaya Karya (Persero), PT Hutama Karya (Persero), and PT PP Tbk (PTPP).

The first phase of IKN development planning is targeted to start in the second quarter of 2022 and be completed in 2024. At this stage, the government through the Ministry of PUPR and related ministries is working on a budget to procure goods and services.

The development of IKN was built in stages, it was noted that there were a number of infrastructure projects that were built especially, for example, the central government area in the form of the Presidential Palace building, government headquarters, housing for civil servants, TNI/Polri, and the general public, as well as other supporting infrastructure.

Waskita’s Director of Finance and Risk Management Taufik Hendra Kusuma as quoted by The Nusantara Post from Okozene.com said that his party will work on the IKN project which is targeted to be carried out this year. Even so, he has not detailed what projects the issuer will build with the WSKT stock code.
