BOGOR, THE NUSANTARA POST – Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim admits that Indonesia has a special place in his heart. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also said that the relations between the two countries were not just diplomatic relations.
This statement was made by PM Anwar Ibrahim in a joint press statement with Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Monday (09/01/2023), at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java.
“I am a bit sentimental, and the President knows that Indonesia has a special place in my heart. I learned and experienced gaining a lot of knowledge,” said PM Anwar Ibrahim.
During the meeting with President Jokowi, continued PM Anwar Ibrahim, discussions were made regarding downstream and digitalization carried out by Indonesia. PM Anwar Ibrahim stated that his party would implement this to increase economic growth in Malaysia.
“I will take advantage of his experience and contribution, and God willing, we will be able to help spur economic growth in Malaysia and of course together with Indonesia, with more confidence,” he said.
On that occasion, PM Anwar Ibrahim also said that Malaysia was showing an open attitude by providing support for the development of the Archipelago’s capital city (IKN) in East Kalimantan. PM Anwar Ibrahim believes the construction of the IKN will provide positive benefits for both Indonesia and Malaysia.
“So because of that, we are taking a positive approach and looking for a way so that the growth of the nation’s capital city of the archipelago will also benefit areas that include Sarawak and Sabah,” he said.
At the end of his statement, PM Anwar Ibrahim said he was happy to make Indonesia the first country he visited after officially becoming PM.
“I made a decision that I felt was appropriate by choosing Indonesia as my first country to visit and visit. And, I feel very happy with the attitude and personal friendship and brotherhood of the President and also the willingness of friends to help and facilitate,” he concluded.
Previously, President Jokowi expressed his joy because Indonesia was the first country visited by PM Anwar Ibrahim.
“Welcome to Indonesia. It is an honor for Indonesia to receive Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s first foreign visit,” said the President.
The President also expressed his congratulations on the inauguration of PM Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia in November 2022. The President believes that under the leadership of Anwar Ibrahim, the cooperation between the two countries will get stronger.
“Malaysia is not only a close neighbor of Indonesia, but we are also an allied nation and have a very strong relationship,” said President Joko Widodo (Wan)

Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim Akui Indonesia Punya Tempat Khusus Di Hatinya
BOGOR,THE NUSANTARA POST- Perdana Menteri (PM) Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim mengakui bahwa Indonesia memiliki tempat khusus di hatinya. PM Anwar Ibrahim pun menyebutkan hubungan kedua negara bukan hanya sekadar hubungan diplomatik.
Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan oleh PM Anwar Ibrahim dalam pernyataan pers bersama Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Senin (09/01/2023), di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Jawa Barat.
“Saya agak sentimentil sedikit, dan Bapak Presiden tahu bahwa Indonesia ini ada tempat yang khusus di hati sanubari saya. Saya belajar dan berpengalaman menimba banyak ilmu,” ujar PM Anwar Ibrahim.
Dalam pertemuan dengan Presiden Jokowi, lanjut PM Anwar Ibrahim, dibahas mengenai hilirisasi serta digitalisasi yang dilakukan oleh Indonesia. PM Anwar Ibrahim menyatakan, pihaknya akan menerapkan hal tersebut untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi di Malaysia.
“Saya akan manfaatkan pengalaman dan sumbangan beliau, dan insyaallah kita akan dapat bantu memacu pertumbuhan ekonomi di Malaysia dan pastinya juga bersama dengan Indonesia, dengan lebih meyakinkan,” ujarnya.
Pada kesempatan itu, PM Anwar Ibrahim juga menyampaikan bahwa Malaysia menunjukkan sikap terbuka dengan memberikan dukungan terhadap pembangunan ibu kota Nusantara (IKN) di Kalimantan Timur. PM Anwar Ibrahim meyakini pembangunan IKN akan memberikan manfaat positif baik bagi Indonesia maupun Malaysia.
“Jadi oleh itu, kita ambil pendekatan yang positif itu mencari jalan supaya pertumbuhan ibu kota negara Nusantara itu akan juga memberi manfaat kepada wilayah yang termasuk Sarawak dan Sabah,” ujarnya.
Di akhir pernyataannya, PM Anwar Ibrahim mengaku senang menjadikan Indonesia sebagai negara pertama yang dikunjungi setelah resmi menjadi PM.
“Saya mengambil keputusan yang saya rasa sesuai dengan memilih Indonesia sebagai negara pertama saya lawati dan kunjungi. Dan, saya rasa bahagia sekali dengan sikap dan persahabatan dan persaudaraan pribadi Presiden dan juga kesediaan rakan-rakan untuk membantu dan memudahkan,” pungkasnya.
Sebelumnya, Presiden Jokowi menyampaikan kegembiraannya karena Indonesia menjadi negara pertama yang dikunjungi oleh PM Anwar Ibrahim.
“Selamat datang di Indonesia. Sebuah kehormatan bagi Indonesia menerima lawatan luar negeri pertama Perdana Menteri Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim,” ujar Presiden.
Presiden pun menyampaikan ucapan selamat atas pelantikan PM Anwar Ibrahim sebagai Perdana Menteri ke-10 Malaysia pada November 2022 silam. Presiden meyakini di bawah kepemimpinan Anwar Ibrahim kerja sama kedua negara akan semakin kuat.
“Malaysia bukan saja negara tetangga dekat Indonesia, namun kita juga merupakan bangsa serumpun dan memiliki hubungan yang sangat kokoh,” ucap Presiden Joko Widodo (Wan)
