BALIPAPAN, THE NUSANTARA POST- There was something different about the visit of the Indonesian President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the Capital of the Nusantara (IKN), Tuesday (25/10/2022).
If usually the President and his entourage use the land route from Balikpapan to IKN, this time the President and his entourage explored the sea route using KRI Escolar – 871.
The travel time from Balikpapan to IKN via land is up to two hours, while the journey from Semayang Port, Balikpapan City to Cita Sabut Port, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency via sea takes one hour.
During the trip, the President and his entourage crossed the Balang Island Bridge that connects Balikpapan and IKN.
“This is tracing the logistics route for IKN,” said the President.
Also accompanying the President on this trip were Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, and East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor ***
