JAKARTA, THE NUSANTARA POST- The Special Committee for the Draft Law (RUU) of the State Capital (IKN) agreed to bring the bill into a plenary meeting today, Tuesday (18/1/2022) to be ratified into law.
The agreement to bring the IKN Bill to be finalized was taken after the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR-RI) together with the government and the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) held a marathon meeting from Monday (17/1/2022) morning to Tuesday morning this morning.
The decision to bring the IKN Bill to the second level decision making was made at 03.11 WIB.
Meanwhile, the special committee meeting started at 00.20 WIB.
Previously, the IKN Bill had been mutually agreed upon in the first level decision making.
Chairman of the Special Committee, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, said that before making a decision, the Special Committee had first listened to all views and opinions of each faction.
Then from the DPD RI and from the government.
As a result, the majority agreed to the Bill on the State Capital by giving a critical note.
Meanwhile, there is one faction that strongly refuses, namely the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).
PKS faction member Suryasi Jaya Purnama, who read out the faction’s views, stated that the reason PKS refused was because there were still many substances and views of the PKS faction that had not been accommodated in the IKN Bill.
“So the Prosperous Justice Party faction of the DPR RI, by saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, has rejected the Bill on the State Capital to be continued to the next stage,” said Suryadi as quoted from Suara.com, Tuesday (18/1/2022).
However, because the majority agreed, the Chair of the Special Committee for the IKN Bill, Doli, continued to ask for approval to bring the IKN Bill to second-level decision making at the plenary meeting.
“Of course there is a majority that agrees, so I want to ask for approval from all of us, whether this draft law, the Draft Law on the State Capital that we have discussed can we approve and then we will process it further according to the DPR RI regulations to be continued on stage II selection, can we agree?” asked Doli.
“Agreed,” replied the member.
“Alhamdulillah rabbil alamin,” said Doli.
Furthermore, Doli invited representatives from both the DPR and the government to come forward to sign the bill on IKN, before finally closing the special committee meeting at 03.15.
“Furthermore, we invite members who represent factions and the government to be able to come forward to sign the Bill on the State Capital,” said Doli.
Also present at the meeting were Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa, Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly, and Minister of Home Affairs General Police (ret.) Muhammad Tito Karnavian. (SC/TNP)
